Courtney Von Drehle has received numerous commissions for music to accompany film, commercials, radio, dance, theater, and performance projects. In 2003 he was awarded a fellowship at the Sundance Institute to participate in their film composers lab. His film scoring work has included working with Academy Award winning animator Joan Gratz, Emmy award winning documentary director Irene Taylor Brodsky and multiple award winning short film maker Chel White. Mr Von Drehle has worked with Joe Janiga for many years, including working on all the aforementioned film projects together. Mr Von Drehle is the artistic director for the world-chamber music ensemble, 3 Leg Torso, and is a member of the ensemble Klezmocracy.
Joe Janiga has worked as a percussionist, composer, accompanist and band leader since 1988. He has recorded, composed and arranged music for film, dance, theater, and various musical productions. Mr Janiga's wide knowledge of percussion styles has led to his involvement in a variety of musical groups and recordings, ranging from African folkloric music and Reggae, to jazz, heavy rock, middle eastern music and latin. Mr. Janiga co-leads Klezmocracy, a unique fusion of jazz/ latin/ klezmer and rock music.
Drew Canulette is a sound engineer/designer based in Portland, Oregon. He has engineered, produced and/or mixed media for Sound Garden, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young, Nike, Wilson Sports, Hewlett Packard, Aetna, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Fidelity, Merck, Adidas, Ford Motor Company, NASCAR, Wieden + Kennedy, Sound Delux, Sony Motion Pictures, IRS Films, Laika House/Entertainment, National Public Radio, Joan Gratz, Gus Van Zant, Danny Elfman, Steve Bartek, Tim Burton, Seattle Symphony and the West Coast Wind Ensemble. He currently works at Downstream Digital as a sound designer--and maintains a home studio where he lives with his four dogs.
